1930s Nertz “Game of Skill” pinball machine, which sits on its included stand. It is labeled “W.G. Amusements” and “Washington Bldg., Madison, Wis.”. It includes the telephone number of “Fairchild 4948” which dates it to the 30s. We are unable to find another one like it!
In 1931, Automatic Industries introduced "Whiffle Board," which is considered by many to be the first true pinball machine: This Nertz pinball game appears to be the same/very similar to the Whiffle Board. Works and accepts nickels for play and the game involves shooting marbles.
